10. The Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street

This image is a combination of four images: the original album cover design at top left and its reproduction at bottom right, and the negative of the original image at top right and its reproduction
at bottom left. The original dimensions of the images were adjusted in order to fit an 18 x 10 resolution screen. The whole new image was then posterized in order to make it appear
more like an illustration than a set of photographs.

I really aimed to capture what I feel is the Stones' true persona, which to me is both rebellious and chaotic. I believe this is what the original album cover design meant to portray.
I wanted to multiply it four times.

This is the original album cover art design.

Actually, what I used as the original album cover design is the two-sided (front and back) cover of the two-record set. I halved it and placed the front cover
at left and the back cover at right. The result is shown above. You will notice that the album title, which seems to have been written in red lipstick,
is located near the middle of the image instead of extreme right.

2. The Beatles - Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

On this image the original album cover art design is at centre. It was flipped and sliced into pieces; each piece containing one to three images of the members of the group.

The pieces were then pasted on the left and the right sides. I guess everyone is there except The Beatles.

The bust on the ground was also copied and pasted over the white cloth that covered the head of the golden figure at right and the doll next to it was doubled.

The slopping patch of grass at lower right was mirrored as well as the flower patch on the opposite side.

The purpose was to extend the horizon, but it created more asymmetry on the ground.

It looks like my processed image is less chaotic than the original. On second thought, it was really like

pasting my picture on the wall and posing beside it for exactly the same shot.
